NEW NATIONAL STUDY FINDS INCREASING NUMBER OF INJURIES FROM HOT TUBS


A recent study conducted by the Center for Injury Research and Policy of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital found that from 1990-2007, the number of unintentional hot tub-related injuries increased by 160 percent, from approximately 2,500 to more than 6,600 injuries per year.

NEW NATIONAL STUDY FINDS DECREASE IN RATE OF PEDIATRIC BURNS


A recent study conducted by the Center for Injury Research and Policy of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, found that from 1990-2006 more than two million children younger than 21 were treated in hospital emergency departments for burn-related injuries.

NEW NATIONAL STUDY REVEALS MAJORITY OF BATHTUB-RELATED INJURIES RESULT FROM SLIPS, TRIPS AND FALLS


A new study by the Center for Injury Research and Policy of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital revealed that more than 43,000 children are treated in U.S. emergency departments each year for bathtub-related injuries, about 120 per day.
